apple crisp fail

Since I went apple picking and have way more apples than I could ever eat, I decided to make an apple crisp.  I tried a new recipe where you use melted butter for the crumble topping instead of cold butter.  Let me tell you, this was not good!!  I took a bunch of pictures and planned a post of that, but I will spare you.  Definitely stick with the cold butter method.

I am going to make a new one tonight for my co-worker's birthday.  I will post about that tomorrow...with pictures! yummm!

In the meantime, I took a spin class last night and I can barely walk.

My high school besties are visiting this weekend and I can hardly contain myself with excitement.  T-minus 4 days!! Over and out.

changes

Hello!  I know I have been away for a while.  At first it was just because I was busy and then it just became too much to sit down at the computer at the end of the day.

I have been planning for some changes to come, as well as going through some unexpected ones.  I cannot yet put them out here in blogland for the whole world to read (but I will share eventually).  I know that many of you already know what I am alluding to and I am not one for secrets so I am happy to share personal aspects of my life through personal emails.

All that being said, these changes are not bad and some of them are even good.  However, like most changes in life, that can be hard at times.  As I grow older, I find that most personal growth is not without growing pains.  I am trying to make the most of this time in my life and really figure out what I want for the foreseeable future.  At times this can be challenging and for that I turn to God (and lets be real, sometimes wine!).

I will say that throughout these changes, I have had an unbelievable amount of support.  I always knew I had good friends, but people are busy and we all face challenges.  The amount of people who have gone out of their way to show me how much they value me in their lives has been absolutely staggering.  It brings me to tears in this moment just to type it out.  I am truly grateful for the love I have in my life.  I know that not everyone can say the same.

This post can't be all mysterious and serious so here are some pictures from the last few months...
