Applesauce

I clearly suck at blogging these days (yes I know when I say this before every post it isn't news).  Is it wrong to say that work has been super busy?  I'm not complaining or making excuses.  I actually like my job and like it better when it is busy.  Maybe that is why I feel guilty, because I am enjoying what is keeping me from blogging.  The good news is I have been tweeting, instagramming and reading all of your blogs so I hope you didn't miss me too much.  I make no promises at being better, but I really do the best I can and I never want to resent this ole bloggy.

I haven't uploaded pics from Thanksgiving yet, but I took lots of good pictures to share with all of you. I will be good and blog this weekend.  Thank you for bearing with me.  In the meantime, here is a little something yummy to tide you over...

A few weekends ago I decided to make some applesauce.  I am super picky about apples.  If they aren't super crispy I won't eat them.  I had six apples that were far from crispy so I decided to make applesauce.

Chop the apples into pieces

Put them in a pot with some water (I did 6 apples and 1 cup of water)

Be sure to give your helpers their fair share!

Add pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon stick and some vanilla.

Cook until the apples are soft.

Let the apple mixture cool and blend it.

I put the applesauce in jars.  I froze two and put two in the fridge.

Yum yum! This was sooo good and I felt good not wasting 6 apples I would otherwise have never eaten.  Hope this little morsel tides you over until the big Thanksgiving post!!!

Beauty Vox Box

I got a Beauty themed Vox Box!!

It included this amazing candle.  It is from Bath & Body works.  It is small, but very powerful.  I lit it and our whole apartment smelled like pumpkin spice.

These are intended to make a bun.  For me they didn't really work.  I have super fine, strait hair so all these pieces stuck out (see pic below).  I am sure they would work on someone with a different hair type.

This included primer and shadow, which is fun.  I liked it a lot. I use it all the time now.  See below.

I am not sure how this is beauty related.  Also, I got this in my Naturals Vox Box and didn't like it so I was surprised to see it again.

These are great too.  I haven't worn them out,  but they look good on.  They are a little thicker, but I would def wear them out sometime.
This stuff is amazing! Smells amazing and works great! This was my favorite product in the box.  nuff said.

We Olive

After golfing on Saturday, Sarah and I went to this cool Olive Oil Shop in SF called We Olive.  They make olive oil, balsamics and spreads. You can go in and taste items and then purchase them if you like.  They use re-usable bottles so when your oil runs out, you can come back in and re-fill it for a cheaper price!  Pretty awesome if I do say so myself.

Catch Up

I have been MIA lately (as I hope you guys have noticed).  I have been busy living and working and thinking...you know!

Last weekend I went home to LA to visit family and friends.

It was great to spend time with my dad and my brother and to see two of my oldest friends.

This past week was busy with work so I decided to relax this weekend.
I made some yummy hot chocolate.

Early morning walk

Two little ladies with their "city" coats ready for a crisp fall walk.

A rare outfit post.  Stripes and Khaki for a little afternoon at the driving range with my friend, Sarah.

Sarah actually knows how to play golf.  This is her kicking butt!  We also went Olive Oil tasting, but I am going to do a separate post on that!

Spent some good ole quality time with these ladies.

And of course, painted my nails!!
